Comment: They are always friendly at this location and there is plenty to choose from. They stock quite often and there’s always a pretty good prices. The sales are great as well. Got a love those 50% off days. Also this trip when my daughter had to go to the bathroom, despite the fact they don’t have bathrooms for the public, when we ran to Taco Bell next-door, they held the items we had already picked out so we could get them when we came back. It was awesome. I definitely recommend shopping here. And I will continue to frequently.

Comment: So many treasures!In the past this store has been hit and miss regarding customer service. In the past, it often felt like ringing up my purchases was an inconvenience to the cashiers. However, the past couple of times, that I’ve gone, the people at the registers were very helpful and patient.It’s definitely worth it to get on their text list and also to make sure you have a number on file at the store today I received 40% off all of my purchases except for a brand new beautiful 2 foot tall ceramic lighted Christmas tree. It only took a second to type my phone number in, and the coupons were displayed on the screen. When you go there and spend over I think it’s 25 or $30, they will stamp the back of your receipt for half off on a Sunday.

My husband has found lots of parts and other guy type things- tools, grab bags with lots of usable things. We ve found dishware, coats, bedding, golf clubs, other sports stuff, bikes, toys, and they have some cool furniture ( I wish I needed) and sometimes they have brand new items. People complain about their hiked up prices for stuff they get donated to them, but lets not forget the overhead cost to sort it, store it, and sell it to us. I do have to mention how hot it was in there today with no air on, but Im sure that will be addressed before too long, so I just have to say thank you! I highly recommend Thrifty Bargain for the first stop to get most of what you need at a fair price.

Comment: I am a thrift store type of gal and Ive been to every singlestore there is in Chico this is the only store including the Goodwill or I can walk in and greeted with a smile I dont feel like Im being judged they dont act like Im going to steal something they dont follow me around which is the worst feeling in the world I mean come on Im at a thrift store Im not here to steal but anyway its just a nice environment the girls are super cool and people who shop there are cool as well this is the best thrift store in town I tell everybody about it as far as I know every person that I told about it is going there now especially on that 50% off on Mondays I think its the coolest of storm and I will continue to shop there until I cannot shop anymore which will have never happen hopefully also they have the best selection for dresses and comforters

Comment: It’s hit or miss, you have to visit often to check out their selection. I love the rewards program and the fact that they still offer color tag sales but, their prices on furniture and area rugs has gotten outrageously high. I mean, theyre DONATED items, Thrifty should price them competitively. Often I could find the same furniture pieces at Big Lots or other big box stores for the same price (sometimes less!). Otherwise everything else in the store is fairly priced. Got a lot of good buys while shopping here today!

Only place Ive been to that actually has arrows on the ground to direct traffic flow which helps to social distance which is great, should be standard but Thrifty Bargain is the only place Ive seen it. Theyve got a good selection, Ive gotten shoes, clothes, furniture, books, etc. They have a lot of dish plates and bicycle helmets. This is my #1 thrift shop right now cuz I live nearby, the prices are better than a lot of other places, theres a good selection, and because goodwill pays disabled workers in pennies so Id rather shop somewhere else. They have a soda vending machine, $1 for a soda.

Comment: I am a big fan of Thrifty Bargain. I go in almost every week just to check out the latest stock.Thursdays are 50% off everything in the store. You can score some amazing deals in there, especially on clothes. I bought a really nice leather jacket for $2.50 one Thursday.Although, it has seemed lately that they jack up prices on certain items specifically for Thursdays.... And that kinda bothers me. Ill come in on a Tuesday, and a table will be $20. Come in that same Thursday, and the same table will cost $40. I mean 50% off, its still $20... But thats not really 50% off...Overall, its my favorite thrift store in Chico. Hands down.

I also have found a lot of household items and an almost brand new brand name purse. The people who work here are awesome too. My absolute only complaint and advice for others is do not buy furniture here. A couch we got gave us bedbugs :(
