Comment: Today I was yelled at and screamed at by a male employee when I did not park in a designated space when turning in my donation (915am). All I know was that there was a pickup truck with all doors open blocking the two designated spaces for donations so I parked next space down. He started yelling at me, I did not understand him (mask muffled his words), and followed me back to the car screaming at me this time that I did not follow his orders in moving my car into the designated space. Cheezes! He needs to calm down. This has happened to me before when donating at this place, the men get nasty and yell at the people donating. This 1 star is for the donation area. Inside the store they are very pleasant.New posting on 11-21-20. I have returned back to Hope Chest for many more donations since my first posting which was a 1☆ rating and the service at the donation area has been so much better, especially with the aforementioned employee. You all work so hard and your pleasantness is really appreciated. Inside the store you are all great. I love the variety, the organization and orderliness, and the bargains on selected days. ☆☆☆☆+ rating from me now. Thank you!

Unfortunately, though they sell computer peripherals like Mice and Keyboards, they dont sell the actual computers. It seems like the same goes for monitors. According to one of the very nice employees, they get ewasted. Thats a shame. Man, I would love to get my hands on a few old PCs or CRT monitors but, sadly this wont be the place to get them.

Comment: One of my favorite thrift stores in Modesto. Great selection and friendly staff. The pricing of furniture recently has skyrocketed. There used to be very aggressive and realistic pricing in line with what you would expect from a “thrift” store. Tons of clothing and the largest selection of used furniture in town. I’ve purchased a lot of items from this location and been very satisfied with my purchases. Will continue to frequent on a weekly basis.
