Comment: I chose the best day to go to rescue treasures. The cashier asked me if I was over 55 so I can get an extra 20% discount on anything that wasnt already discounted. I was pleasantly surprised by that. I was able to check out very quickly for the amount of people that were there. The store is always kept at a nice temperature so that you can shop comfortably and you dont get warm its nice and cool in there so that was nice.

Comment: Pretty great prices. I like their weekly tag color discount system. Make sure to inspect the clothes really well because sometimes they can have rips or broken zippers. I usually go to buy books and have got books for as little as 51 cents-$1.25 (with the 50% off tag). They usually have a great selection. Ive seen books like Tara Westovers Educated and Michelle Obamas Becoming and some other great choices that I imagine are donated by nearby COS students. Ive never seen a book over $3.50 here.

Comment: No sales tax, that is what made me fall in love with this store. I usually come here for a video game or music haul. Sometimes they have some good looking and working consoles that are worth it and much cheaper compared to the internet. Plus, the money is going to a good cause and helps them while we snag some deals. Could be a bit messy but it is to be expected when it comes to thrift stores. Who knows you might find some cool stuff here. I always do.

Comment: I love that it benefits the community most in need. As far as organization, very unorganized. The prices are really high, but again it benefits those most in need. I have found some unique items here, I still have not seen the whole store. It is a huge selection. I feel that maybe having a 50% of your whole purchase day or week will benefit the merchandise from being crushed and may thin out the place to leave room for more donations. I had a hard time looking at clothes, racks were to tight with so much clothes.Remember to donate to other thrift shops around visalia.

Comment: This is a rare gem as far as Im concerned. Rescued treasures is only a small portion of what Visalia Rescue Mission does for this community. All proceeds go back to the organization and this is 100% non-profit. Some items have higher prices then others due to the amount of inventory. There are numerous volunteers and workers who come up these prices and so they will be different. But then, every week there are numerous sales. You cant go wrong with Rescued treasures!

I think this is the largest single provider of food and housing of the needy. Pray about the needs of such a large project. I have never heard this business toot there own horn and its time I did.
