Comment: My grandmothers tea set was accidentally donated and I found it on the shelf here with a price tag of $50. Bummer, but I was willing to buy it back. After mentioning it to the cashier, she excused herself to the back and came up to me and told me to take it back, despite my wanting to pay something for it. Very good people here.

Comment: Ive been going to the Red Church Thrift Store for years, and have loved it. Ive bought so much there, as well as donated often. Until today, I would have given 5 stars, because the staff has always been very patient, knowledgeable and kind. So thats why my experience today surprised and disappointed me. Since sheltering in place I had collected a lot of donations- clothes, books, rugs, etc. I called and asked if they were accepting donations and was told by a polite man Yes, as long as everything is clean and in good shape.When I pulled up and parked my car behind the store as I had always done, a woman shouted, Maam, if youre going to donate you need to drive through here. I said okay, got back in my car, and drove through the area that used to be only for employees sorting through the donations. I opened the back of my car and tried to help unload 1 box and 1 plastic bag of items. The woman started going through both the box and the bag, asking what I was donating. I had a mask on, she didnt. So when she said that they dont want glass to be packed in plastic bags, I thought she had misunderstood me, since I had said nothing about glass. Then she pointed out a few antique dishes that were wrapped in newspaper. These are glass, she said, and when we unload them we can get cut if you put glass in bags. We dont like that. I felt chastised and it reminded me of being a little kid in trouble, because thats how she had talked to me.I got no thanks but as I was driving away, she did say in a half-hearted way, Have a good day. Well, I WAS having a good day... Maybe Im too sensitive, but life nowadays is hard enough. She could have easily given me that message in a kind manner instead of treating me like Im an idiot who was trying to get away with something. Maybe that woman hasnt been treated with much kindness in her own life.

Comment: This is by far the best thridft store ive ever stepped foot into. They have it all and then some. The place feels like youve stepped into someones home. Friendly helpful people and you can even try things on!. Pet friendly as well. Love this town and its people. Hats off to you red church. Thanks for a great experience.
