Comment: It’s a nice way to spend a Sunday, there’s a lot of stalls to peruse! Very laid back vibe, it was toasty hot when visited, so resting in the shade, listening to a band that sounded as good as Morcheeba was a total bonus. There are some unique finds here, but there’s also some rather overpriced ‘vintage’ that could be copped at a Goodwill.Absolutely still worth a visit, seek out the niche stalls and enjoy.Good food truck options behind the stage too!

Comment: Melrose is always one my favorite places to shop coming into LA. The entrance fee is $7 and the option of free valet up to 3 hours I believe which is plenty of time. The vibes are always great, vendors playing music, decent size crowds, plenty of food options too. I always find a good selection of vinyls and rare ones too. If you’re looking for vintage tees/clothes this is the place to come to.

Comment: I LOVE THIS PLACE! The atmosphere, the items available for purchase, the lovely eye candy( guys u know what I mean ) the peacefulness. People are friendly as long as you come across being genuine. Never heard any arguing whether it was two vendors or a couple. The staff is made up of students from Fairfax plus the men and woman who dutifully walk the grounds to make sure things are running smoothly. The times I was there I witnessed positive and caring interaction between vendors and staff. Be prepared to spend $. See for yourself.

Comment: Always like going to the trading post. Lots of cool independent artists. A lot of people saying this is a good spot for thrifted clothes but I would have to disagree. Lots of cool graphic tees that end up being 60-80 dollars. Stick to the Trading Post for the artists and go somewhere else for thrifted clothes.

Comment: 5 dollar entrance fee. This is the kind of place where a college student will try to sell you a faded and ripped up bone thugs t shirt from 2006 for 20 dollars. Despite these people, there’s some genuine and friendly sellers, and some awesome food. Vibes were immaculate, and for that, five out of five.

Comment: I like places like these. There are a good number of different vendors selling things from paintings, to clothing, to jewelry, to house plants. Its not expensive to enter and it gets people out and walking around out in the California sunshine. I bought a cute lil baby 🌵 cactus from a vendor named Souilless who specialize in plants grown without soil. They even have their own growing mixture that you can buy from them. I love random adventures around LA. This is definitely one I would come back to over and over again...and I plan to :)

Comment: My first time coming here and definitely will not be my last! I have been looking for just the right brown leather jacket to fit in my long arms and was fortunate enough to find it here. Many different Treasures to look at with a variety of vendors that offer things like cameras, jeans, jackets, artwork, organic lotions, and Jewelry. Just make sure to get there early so you can find parking and so that you wont have to wait in line so long. The entrance is only $5 which is not bad and you can get a stamp to come back if you want to walk out to grab a bite somewhere and come back to something that you left.

Comment: It is still located on Fairfax High School grounds but has changed a lot over the years. They sell mostly clothing now, some you can find in thriftshops. The crowd is very young. The entrance fee is $5 per person. Kids enter for free. Its still a good place to visit because you never know what you may find. But if you happen to go there on an empty stomach, check out the Greek food truck at the entrance (there are two entrances). Also, Runyon Canyon is not far away if, after all the shopping, you still have some energy left for a hike.

Comment: Ive worked a few friendship bracelet booths at this event and I absolutely love it! Everyone is so happy and cheerful. The atmosphere and vibe is a mix of chill and upbeat. There is live music. The bands I listened too when I worked the event were amazing! Too bad I cant remember the names to share.Anyway, this flea market has everything. As a result, it can get pretty busy.If youre socially anxious or have sensory overload or processing issues, then this environment may be too much for you. If youre willing to face the music regardless, there are little quiet spots you can take a break and chill or, if Im there, you can stop by my tent and make a free friendship bracelet! He he.Anyway, its a nice place for people of all types and this also includes families, persons with disabilities, and the elderly. There are walkways and ramps that are strollers, wheelchairs, and so on...there are also public bathrooms.PS: There is a cover charge. I think its approximately $5.

Comment: I’m 50/50 about this place. It’s a fun thing to do on a Sunday, great for people watching. But after a handful of times you see the same stuff over and over. Ive found some leather pieces and cool furniture for the house. But a lot of times not much else. Ive never experienced good food from the food trucks, plus you’ll be waiting for over 30mins, so I would skip eating here. The coffee and juices are good though. Keep in mind there’s hardly any shade, go earlier in the morning to beat the heat.

Comment: This place was great! Parking is free for the first 3 hours and then $10 after that (if i heard the man correctly), you should be out in about 2-3 hours depending on how thorough you are.Lots of vendors accepted more than just cash which was good. We got there like at 9:20 and the line was super short (cash only at the line) which unfortunately made it a waste of money to have bought our tickets ahead of time since theres a fee, but we didnt know… oh well. I’d still suggest buying them ahead of time if u plan on getting there laterMy girlfriend got a super cute shirt from iamkoko.la. We both also got a few really nice ones from Koioki who have amazing art! Got myself a nice hat too from another vendor. She had a delicious chicken pad thai from 8E8 Thai and I got a 10/10 breakfast sandwhich from some other food truck that i forgot the name of unfortunately. I’ll be dreaming of that sandwhich later

Comment: MTP - As of 3/28- awesome place to shop vintage and high and low brow wares. Must wear a mask to enter and pay for a ticket. Proceeds benefit art programs for the fairfax highschool grounds that the market takes place on. Some vendors will also negotiate the prices. I bought a vintage italian sweater from the 70s for $25 instead of 35. And a Canon 35 mm camera from 99 for $60.Not bad! They also have many garden and house plants as well as holistic and organic options to clean your home. But if youre looking for cheap costume jewelry, sun glasses and the perfect distressed tee, this ... Comment: It was $5 per adult to enter. We parked for free up the street in the residential area because it was Sunday. I didnt think anything was swap meet pricing and I think most of the second hand stores from Melrose Ave. opened a booth here. It was an entertaining afternoon and the Pad Thai from the food truck was delicious.

I got super lucky with the parking but it is a challenge getting down Genesee Ave. Very narrow street. Looking forward to my next visit.

Comment: A great authentic flea market experience. Entry for $5 a person to help cover costs, the proceeds go towards to school and activities. Decided to venture in after walking past outside the fence. My partner and I were surprised by the scale of it. All kinds of boutique stores for clothing, fashion, jewellery and memorabilia.Bargain buys for a range of styles and trends. There is also a decent set up for food and refreshments where we were able to find a seat without too much difficulty. There was also live music going throughout the day which added to the atmosphere. It was a great way to spend a few hours of our afternoon together and I would recommend this for those in the area, whether you are solo, in a partnership of with a family. Two thumbs up!

Comment: Love the authentic italian food and choices, not to mention the cheap prices. You get your food like cafeteria style but its so good and you can ask for small alterations in your order without the price going up. For example I wanted less noodles and more meat sauce. No bbn problem! They only accept cash is the only bad thing.

Comment: This is a relatively fun, but small flea. It carries a $5 entry, but once youre in youre greeted with mostly vintage clothes, a few succulents and/or house plants vendors, some vintage print places, local Jewelers, vintage furniture, and a pretty great coffee place. Its more of a quirky outdoor home decor shop with a cover fee, but it does have its gems. Go here for clothing, or home decor. Dont come here for bargain hunting and lots of treasure hunting.

Comment: Awesome market. only a cupla bucks to enter main gate.Anything and everything type traders. We found treasures! New hand painted shirts through to vintage glass! Held at Fairfax High School grounds on Melrose, only on Sunday, the area this market takes up was very worthwhile taking the time to go and wander through, as it’s extensive. If you’re looking for an ‘Aladdin’s Cave’ treasure hunt market, this is it. Beautiful array of stock, a visual feast, well set up alleyways. Good food available, the restrooms are in the school building, and walkways are asphalt, some shaded, some sunny. also had a beaut little mini golf area kids can use for FREE, using fancy shoes as the bumpers.

Comment: I love hunting for treasures here. It gets pretty packed with “trendy” people who mostly shop for vintage clothes, which works great for me because it keeps the crowds concentrated at the clothing booths while I look for home decor. You’re able to find anything from antique pieces to modern handmade crafts. Most of the vendors are the same every week, but some change out and you’re able to find new things every time.

Always something to purchase and prices are better now then when I used to go a couple years back. I would say you can clear about 2-3 hours of the day here. Even though it’s $5 now I still think it’s a good deal. They do have $1 coupons online so check it out. This place remind me of my home town Tlacolula plaza because there are a lot of different vendors so you can enjoy different kind of foods and flavors. You can also rest under a big tree with a big shade there. The cost for the entry is $5.00 each person. Comment: Of the flea market offerings in LA, this is a big one. However, the dominant item is clothes, clothes, clothes. If you are looking for curated/vintage home goods or local artists, artisans, etc, this swap meet does have some, but they are few in number compared to the clothing offerings. Its mainly a younger crowd, so whatever used-clothing trend is happening at the moment for that audience, youll find a lot of here.

Comment: I could go on and on about this flea market - I have devotedly attended this Sunday tradition for years now and have watched it steadily grow in size, vendors, and popularity. You can find an eclectic variety of wares here: vintage clothing, artisan and vintage jewelry, houseplants, antiques, local artists, new furniture from local craftsmen, food for all tastes and diets, knick-knacks galore, and even more items in between. Most vendors inside accept cash and cards, but be prepared for the cash-only entrance fee of $5. You’re guaranteed to find something you didn’t know you wanted every time you go.

Comment: 5 dollars to get in. Some booths are, to be honest, just people looking to get rid of junk they found at a thrift store. Some people sell vintage clothes (also probably thrifted) that could probably be cool but they’re a little hard to look through. The cooler vendors in my opinion were the ones selling handmade and refurbished furniture, some sold handmade jewelry, and the plant vendors were fairly priced. A good way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

I love wandering around the aisles, getting lost and promising myself not to spend any more money. Hard to do.They raised entrance fee prices from $3 to $5. Cash is best to have on you for most of these merchants.Come right when it opens to find the best items. Or if you just want to browse, take your time and get here before they close or else you’ll get a million reminders on the loud speaker about closing in x-amount of minutes. There’s a cute food court area - all located out doors. Get coffees here, rest your legs and unwind.I love how people who shop here are wearing amazing, trendy clothes.

Comment: Fun, and I thought there was a lot of variety in vendors. Vintage clothes intermingled with artist Renditions of old and new ideas. I found some great antique jewelry reasonably priced. A few seamstresses out there making some unique athletic wear as well as club attire. There is a cover charge to get in... I think it is worth it as Im sure it decreases the vendors lease fee and not everybody sells what theyd like.

Comment: Ah Ive been here so many times I can never get bored of this place. There is so much to see and so much to do. Plan to spend a good 3 hours walking around checking everything out. I love the coffee at the food truck in the middle of the market. Remember to bring cash for the door to get in.

Comment: Rock n Roll heaven. The $3 admission goes entirely to arts education at Fairfax High. Art is the Heart of civilization. Great food, great finds, tons of fun. a curated vintage, up cycled, recycled and hand made goods post. Multiple music options throughout, bathrooms, trash cans, valet parking, website. Open ever Sunday...your spirit will be moved.

Comment: A fun place to spend an afternoon, but less useful for making purchases. From my perspective, the household goods werent very varied, well-priced or high quality, but may just not be my style. Great people watching and food trucks though and admission is only $3 per person. Id really like to give this spot 3.5 stars. Also, uncomfortable restroom experience - guests can use bathrooms in the high-school, but the doors are so low that people standing in line waiting for the rest rooms can see you over your stall. Not sure how this isnt a problem for high-school students...

Comment: This place is great! I love that the admission fee goes to a local high schools programs. The street market itself has a wonderful variety of handmade jewelry and products from local vendors, and folks selling vintage/used items. A great spot to find unique gifts or just to spend an afternoon (plan on taking some time to get through it all).

Comment: You have to come here! First off, the $3 admission ticket goes to the high school to help pay for programs that get cut (arts, physical fitness, etc). And then plan to stay AT LEAST four hours here. It’s amazing. So many different type of booths from grunge and cheap to chic and pricey. I stumbled upon this going up Melrose on a Sunday and I’m so glad I did! One of my favorite activities during my trip to LA.

Comment: Its a street market showcasing local artistry and peoples vintage finds. What other would call junk could also be another persons treasure. No shortage of old clothes and ornaments. Theres a vendor there that has a whole department store section for aloha shirts for 7.00. Great fit for summer or for a gift for your trendy teen. Its bigger than you think so take the time to explore. Also, say hi to all the dogs youll see. Came around 1:20, didnt find parking until 2:00 so I suggest coming early. Theres also a mini street market across the street. Its a great Instagram photo spot due to the fact that theres an angel wing mural at the entrance of it. Great place to visit for 2 or so hours.
