Comment: Went to check out the book selection. Its smaller than other Goodwills/Thrift stores in the area but I was surprised by the amount of high quality books! Had a few Book of the Month limited editions and a bulk of the selection was non-fiction/political science. May not be the best place to look for your next read but if youre in the Fillmore or Japantown and nearby, take a gander ☺️

Comment: Every word in this review is true. I was at the hospital for testing because my hip hurts. Boo whoo. The last time I had seen a doctor was my discharge physical some 40+ years prior. So Im limping home and I see a Goodwill. Mr. Prada, Gucci, sometimes Armani only fits me is reviewing Goodwill Japan Town, San Francisco and its off the charts! I was so happy to been in there that I started buying random stuff. I bought an item that they didnt know the price and I didnt know what it was. When they told me it was $4.99 I whooped with joy, threw up my hands and yelled, Ill take two! A woman who let me go ahead of her when she saw me balancing flatware, an Elon Musk autobiography and sporting goods under my chin howled with laughter and started talking to me in rapid fire Spanish that I couldnt keep up with. I bought a basketball. I stand 5 feet 2 inches. There were beautiful women in the clothing aisles that dropped trou right there on the spot trying on blouses, shorts, skirts, dresses, pants. Every make, blend, color, size, texture and era. If you know me personally you are either tingling with anticipation or rolling your eyes muttering the word, tedious. Here it comes.... the clothes werent so bad either! I may or may not have pictures of this experience at Goodwill. Only myself and Google photos know. I suggest you get down there and experience it yourself. Like all of my reviews, regardless of the product, dish, taste or whatever adjective there is to describe a tangible, it always comes down to the people and experience. The people at Goodwill Japan town, San francisco, are on point and dialed in. Their eyes are on your eyes and searching. Theyve got you covered. Theyre happy from the front door to the front door exit. Go in with an open heart and remember, youre recycling, keeping people employed and doing something good.

Comment: Variety of inventory changes every day, so check often. The weekly color tag discount promotions have been indefinitely suspended, so spend wisely. There are some nice things to be discovered if serendipity comes your way. Masks are required. Call ahead about current refund or store credit policies. If you plan on touching merchandise, wearing disposable gloves are highly recommended. Liquid hand sanitizers are sold here. Nonetheless, a courteous staff is still very strict about wearing your mask. Dressing rooms are closed, so know your size. Public restrooms not available. Public parking can be challenging, but theres a private parking lot across the street.

Comment: I shop at many Goodwills and this location has some really quality clothing brands & shoes. The kitchenware, books, and linens are more sparse but dinnerware and mugs are plentiful. Houseware is pretty good with mirrors, large baskets, vases, etc. Electronics are sparse as well. I mainly shop home goods and clothing so I love this location. The prices are a bit steep though. $9-15 for tops, $20+ for outerwear, and $10-15 for pants. Shoes are all $10. The store is clean and well organized too.

Strategically located in the midst of entertainment district, boutique shopping, and fashionable, multicultural and upscale restaurants, it holds its own as a spot for a shopping adventure and treasure hunt. Not only, - I personally fulfill my need for home entertainment equipment, bought Onkyo receiver at a fraction of original cost, as well two of my four guitars and my favorite keyboard, - Yamaha GX 76, with a stand and seat, this for $69. The other finds I look for, is a vintage apparel and Americana. Many people buying kitchen and table ware, also light art fixtures. Most of area is taken by clothes, - mans, womans and children, there are three cabins to try on your selections. Located by the checkout is a glass covered shelf displaying bijouterie, small electronics and other pricier items. Theres sizable collection of books and used CDs, usually you can see used bikes. Tax is included, you can buy a bag for 99c to put in your purchase. Due to covid-19 situation, store is not accepting donations from public, all donated items coming from specialized centers. Store implements safe distance between shoppers, and if you may have to wait few minutes to enter, - do it, it is well worth the value and shopping experience.

Comment: We think this Goodwill is a bit of a hidden gem. There is a diverse collection of clothes (theyre Halloween collection was surprisingly good), but its also a great place to find used instruments and unique collectibles. Theres probably less vintage here, but the collection of contemporary/trendy clothing is significant. Its also a great spot to browse purses and handbags.

Comment: Oh, really exciting place!!! The best burger Ive ever eaten, and the fries... just incredible!! Is really nice to cross the bridge and take a lunch there. Good organic cola, wines... Waiters and people working there are really nice there. The athmosphere too: everything made by wood, with Napa Valley pictures. Higly recomended. Prepare a minimum of $25 per meal!! :)
